Update KB5028185 -> RDP Session to W11 not possible

After W11 Update KB5028185 RDP Session to W11 Professional is not possible anymore.
original failure below but german.(1)
It says that the authentification server is not reachable. If i uninstall this update everything works fine again.
On Zentyal Core 7.0.5 and 7.0.6 same behavior

If i deselect on remote settings in system settings authentication on network i can connect from windows to windows by rdp but from linux with xrdp to windows including this update KB502815 not.

yes i saw it on samba+ already. That here the bug is already fixed. But in Zenytal updates isnt included right now.

Hi,

@LorText thank you for reporting this bug and @meiser79 for the link.

As we can see, Samba is still working on the fix for Focal (Ubuntu 20.04, which is Zentyal 7.0). So we can just wait until they fix the issue and releases it in the official repository.

In case the issue has a high impact on your environment, you can try the suggestions of comment number 13.

@LorText the link you provided is not valid for Ubuntu 20.04. Also, please, take into account that the updates of Samba are managed by the official Ubuntu repository, not by us.

thanks for reply. yes you are right. For my environment i have deinstalled this update of windows and i am not in impact of that at the moment. So lets wait till the update comes for ubuntu for this that i am able to install this update later.

The patch has been posted for a while now - what's the plan for getting it integrated into Zentyal? Zentyal 7.1 ships with 4.15, but the patch is officially in 4.16+

i agree. There was an update available a few days after open this topic for 4.15 but this hasnt fix the problem yet. It seems to be that the change has to come from zentyal dev team to integrate the higher version which has already fixed it for focal.

Ubuntu released the fix fourteen hours ago and it is available in Zentyal 7.0. The package version is 2:4.15.13+dfsg-0ubuntu0.20.04.4 . More information about the time when the package was released and the changes it has here
