Branch: board-refactor

This (old) branch was used to start refactoring the board class and how the board objects are stored in the database. At this point it is so far out of sync with master that it may not be worth trying to rebase.

The idea was that the Board class would use several Qt features to make it easier to persist and manage the classes in general
