HTTP methods authorization checkboxes not checked

after saving the authorization for the HTTP methods a success message is shown.
But when attempting to leave the page, an alert is shown saying there are still unsaved changes.

when checking in the module config file, then we can see that the changes were made to the file.
But when coming back to the Admin UI all checkboxes are empty again.
