Maybe we could speed up load time and everything else significantly if we wouldn't search for old things all the time if we wouldn't assume that addresses are reused. Of course there should be a setting that says "Enable address reuse" in case. I don't think our users are doing that anyway, since addresses disappear as soon as something is received.

I don't think we can make a blanket statement that users don't reuse addresses, unfortunately...
I've heard from some users that they had [accidental] address-reuse.
Aviv mentioned in a recent dev-call [2019-07-08] that there is about 1% address re-use in wasabi coin joins, if I remember him correctly. [Might be scewed because of coordinator fee address...]
