Some non-english characters, or font awesome icons render as double wide. This can break the rendering of components like menu

A package like wcwidth can be used to calculate the correct width for rendering the divider bar. When these characters are used as the icon for an entry, all the other icons in that column should have extra padding (as required) for a common width
