On public function anyEdit(), this: $grid->add('{{ Strings::truncate(wordwrap($description), 20, "...") }}', 'redactor')->rule('required'), only returns null, why?

why you're adding a rule to a datagrid?
anyway you're mixing datagrid and dataedit syntax.
About issue title "problem editing grid" : a datagrid is not editable
