I'm sorry if this question can be trivially answered, but it seems, by looking at the podspec file on the next branch, that libffi is only necessary for osx targets.

If that's the case, is there a way to tell Cocoapods to not fetch this dependency for a iOS-only project? Because I keep getting the original error in #178, even with the latest next branch, and if all this trouble can be avoided, it'd be great.

Nevermind, I just noticed the dependency is kept active by libextobjc, not BlocksKit. Thanks!

BlocksKit next uses the libffi provided by OS X.

Yeah, turns out the culprit was this line from libextobjc
