With Safari Technology Preview Release 129, all images (except "California Dogface Butterfly") are availble in HEIC (see: Apple or Wikipedia) format. These can be downloaded (and highly recommended as they are 500%—900% smaller file size) via the accompanied links (thumbnails link to JPG or PNG for compatibility).
