To run this application locally, follow these steps:
- Clone the Repository:
bash git clone https://github.com/your-username/OnlineNotebook.git cd OnlineNotebook - Install Dependencies:
cd app
npm install
cd app/backend
npm install
- Set Up Environment Variables:
- Create a .env file in the backend directory.
- Add the following variables and set their values:
PORT=5000
MONGO_URI=your_mongodb_connection_string
- Run the Application:
- In the app directory:
npm start - In the app/backend directory:
nodemon index.mjs
- Access the Application:
- Open your browser and go to http://localhost:3000 to use the OnlineNotebook web app.
