Welcome to the flow-forecast wiki!

The flood-forecast project focuses on combining data from over 9,000 automated USGS river gages with precipitation, temperature, and topographical data to enable the forecasting of stream flows (in the future we also aim to incorporate snow pack and soil moisture data). The project is divided into two major parts: river/flood forecasting and flash flood property damage prediction. Currently, we are solely focused on part one (as this is a prerequisite to part two).

Although the main focus of this project is river/flood forecasting we also aim to make an easy to use deep learning platform. We hope our platform makes it really simple to train/test state of the art architectures on any time series forecasting problem. We also aim to make it easy to study the affects of both transfer and meta-learning on time series data with our easily extendible architectures. If you would like to contribute please see our contribution guidelines.
