What is Atarashii?

Atarashii is a simple Twitter Client for the GNOME Desktop, much like Echofon for Firefox, Atarashii focuses itself on the basics, namely Tweets and Direct Messages. But it also focuses on tight Desktop Integration by providing customizable Notifications for new Tweets and Messages.
