What is Hacktoberfest?

Hacktoberfest is DigitalOcean’s annual event that encourages people to contribute to open source throughout October

How to contribute?

• Write simple program (e.g. calculator)
• Create pull request to one of given programming language folders
• Wait for my approval
• Remember that you must create at least 4 PRs to get t-shirt

Add your name

Add your name to the CONTRIBUTORS.md file using the below convention:

Name: [YOUR NAME]

• Place: City, State, Country
• Bio: Who are you?
• GitHub: [GitHub account name](GitHub link)

Valid project format

Please make sure that you added a comment to your project with: !!! Otherwise, your project won't be accepted !!!

• GitHub name/real name
• GitHub profile link

Available repositories

Contribution Rules

• Pull requests can be submitted to any opted-in repository on GitHub or GitLab.
• The pull request must contain commits you made yourself.
• If a maintainer reports your pull request as spam, it will not be counted toward your participation in Hacktoberfest.
• If a maintainer reports behavior that’s not in line with the project’s code of conduct, you will be ineligible to participate.
• To get a shirt, you must make four approved pull requests (PRs) on opted-in projects between October 1-31 in any time zone.
