The motivation behind SudanBridge is deeply personal. Having experienced the frustration of unreliable delivery services firsthand, the founder embarked on a mission to create SudanBridge. This platform aims to streamline the delivery process, offering customers a service they can trust.
One of the key technical challenges in developing SudanBridge was integrating Vue.js into the frontend to ensure a seamless user experience, particularly in implementing real-time package tracking. The main obstacle was synchronizing the backend data with the frontend to reflect the current status and location of the shipment accurately. By leveraging Vue.js components and Axios for API requests, we were able to establish a robust communication channel between the backend and frontend, enabling users to track their packages in real-time with ease.

To run SudanBridge locally, follow these steps:

Prerequisites:
- PHP
- Composer
- Node.js and npm
- Database (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite)

Install Laravel:
composer global require laravel/installer -
Clone the repository and configure it:
git clone https://github.com/MohdMuslim92/SudanBridge cd SudanBridge composer install cp .env.example .env
make sure to update the .env file and change the DB_USERNAME and DB_PASSWORD to your database credintials

Install Frontend Dependencies and Vue.js:
npm install -
Database Setup:
- Create a database for your project.
- Run migrations:
php artisan migrate

Start Development Server:
php artisan serve -
Compile Assets with Laravel Mix:
npm run dev
Once SudanBridge is set up locally, you can:
- run database seeder to create testing users and seed the database with the required details
php artisan db:seed - Use the platform to send or receive packages and track deliveries.
