ParaState is HIRING! We are looking for talented Rust or Blockchain Engineers to join our growing team of blockchain enthusiasts.

Location: Worldwide (fully remote) Compensation: Top market rate + competitive equity.

Rust / Solidity Developers

You are:

  • Committed to continuous learning and improvement.

You will work directly with the engineering team and be responsible for:

  • Participate in constructive, collaborative code reviews to ensure the team is aligned and solving problems in concert.
  • Maintain the ParaState blockchain
  • Study blockchain trends and implement features to help our users
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices

Requirements:

  • Experience in Rust or smart contract development on blockchains (e.g. Solidity).
  • Experience shipping and iterating in high-quality code in close collaboration with design and product partners.
  • Familiarity with code quality coverage analysis, performance monitoring, security, auth, etc.,
  • Familiarity with cloud computing (AWS)
  • Familiarity with modern development pipelines, tools, and CI/CD practices in an agile environment
  • Ability to portray friendly professionalism

Web3 Dapp Developers

You are: Passionate about building applications that users love.

You will work directly with the engineering team and be responsible for:

  • Creating and maintaining smart contracts and decentralized apps on the ParaState blockchain.
  • Follow technical and product roadmaps and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.

Requirements:

  • Experience in smart contract development on blockchains (e.g. Solidity) or Rust.
  • Experience shipping and iterating in high-quality code in close collaboration with the team members.
  • Familiarity with code quality coverage analysis, performance monitoring, security, auth, etc.,

Full-stack Developers

You are: Comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries

You will work directly with the engineering team and be responsible for:

  • Research and understand the end users of our network
  • Design client-side, server-side, and runtime architecture for their needs
  • Write clean, functional code on the front- and back-end
  • Test and fix bugs or other coding issues
  • Create security and data protection settings
  • Deliver compelling and simple demonstrations of the products you build
  • Collaborate with other members of the team and open-source contributors

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a full stack technical developer or similar role
  • Key experience making effective UIs for technically complex systems
  • Capable of building/training/retaining a small team, ~5 team members
  • Experience with a JavaScript frameworks, React will be important for this position
  • Experience working with a back-end framework (e.g. Sails, Loopback, Express)
  • Experience working with Rust or other similar system level languages
  • Basic CI/CD knowledge, using cloud-based tools (e.g. Travis, AWS)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Technical Writers

You are: Experienced in writing technical documentation and articles

You will work directly with the engineering team and be responsible for:

  • Research and understand the ParaState network
  • Help set and steer the direction of documentation and other content for ParaState
  • Update existing documentation for accuracy, draft or review the documentation on new features, or create new material that makes development on ParaState easier to understand and use at a general level.
  • Identifying content opportunities through exercises such as content audits, comparative analyses, gap analyses, and site mapping, and make recommendations based on what you discover

Requirements:

  • Excellent writing, communication and teamwork skills
  • A passion for the decentralized governance
  • Technical knowledge of Ethereum, Polkadot and blockchain

Developer Relations

You are:

  • A self-starter who enjoys working in a hands-on, dynamic and highly collaborative environment

You will work directly with the engineering team and be responsible for:

  • Develop strategy and planning for developer-facing programs including advocacy, developer tools, support and mentorship, evangelism, education, blog content and more
  • Be the voice, eyes, ears of the ParaState community by speaking with, observing, listening to, and engaging developers directly all over the world
  • Work with internal stakeholders across product, engineering, data, and growth to build strong bi-directional feedback loops and influence roadmaps
  • Provide mentorship and support to grantees, help judge technical applications, and help grow our developer grants program
  • Inspire third-party developers with ideas for integrating ParaState tools and services within their apps and businesses
  • Speak at conferences, meetups, and events
  • Participate in, mentor, and judge hackathons
  • Contribute content, documentation, and insights that support a world-class developer experience

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in a developer, developer manager, developer growth, or developer relations role
  • Experience with APIs, developer communities, open-source and developer ecosystems
  • Experience public speaking and translating complex technical content into narratives
  • Equally adept at being tactical and strategic and able to handle conflicting priorities
  • Experience participating in online and offline developer communities and ecosystems (e.g., open source platforms, blogs, tech conferences, hackathons, meetups, discord channels, technical teaching, and training).
  • Passionate or interested in the problems we are solving in blockchain, and decentralized governance
  • Identifying developer needs through formal interviews, informal conversations, contextual inquiry, workshops, and analytics research
