Potions

Project Zulu potions are brewed via a couple of Custom Brewing Stands. They are not brew-able via the Vanilla Brewing Stand.

PZ Potions comprise two Items, PZCustomPotions and PZVanillaPotions. Either can be disabled by setting the appropriate item id to zero. PZVanillaPotions represents the PZ counterparts to vanilla potions already implemented in Minecraft, but done in the PZ style. PZVanillaPotions contains strength, regeneration, poison, weakness, move speed, move slow, fire resistance, night vision, invisibility, blindness, heal, harm. PZCustomPotion contains bubbling, incendiary, slow fall, cleansing, curse, thorns, jump, dig speed, dig slow, resistance, water breathing.

PZ Potions differ from their vanilla counterparts in a few key ways. Duration and Power (enhanced via glowstone and redstone repsectively) are now have 3 tiers instead of 1. Increasing one decreases the other, other for a myriad of combinations to create the perfectly balanced potion for a given scenario. Additionally, each potion has a tier (enhanced via Shiny Baubles) that slightly improves the potions base duration and power. Gunpowder will still turn a regular potion into a splash potion.

New Potions Effects

• Slow fall: Limits the players vertical velocity and damage upon impact.
• Cleanse: Randomly Selects a potion effect affecting the player and removes it.
• Curse: Causes an random potion effect already effecting the player to tick again.
• Thorns: Similar to Thorns Enchant / Cactus armor. Attacking effected entity hurts attacker.

• Pulp: Used in Potion Ingredient Crafting Recipe, Crafted from Paper
• Salt: Used in Potion Ingredient Crafting Recipe
• Antennae: Used for Blindness Potion
• Shiny Bauble: Used for Tier 2 Potion, Found in Dungeon Chests
• Talon: Used for Strength+
• Plant Stalk: Unused
• Bark: Used for Protection
• Small Heart: Used for Haste/DigSpeed+
• Large Heart: USed for Strength+
• Gill: Used for Underwater Breathing
• Ectoplasm: Used in Potion Ingredient Crafting Recipes
• Frog Legs: Used for Jump
• Rabbits Feet: Used for Jump
• Prickly Powder*: Used for Thorns
• Powder Slush*: Used for Cleanse
• Glowing Goo*: Used for Curse
• Small Unhealthy Heart*: Used for Digspeed-
• Large Unhealthy Heart*: Used for Weakness/Strength-

* Craftable Ingredients, Most potion ingredients are found as mob drops. A few are crafted as below (all Recipes are shapeless):

• Pulp: Two are crafted by One Paper
• Prickly Powder: Cactus + Pulp
• Powder Slush: Bucket of Milk + Pulp
• Glowing Goo: Milk + Pulp + Ectoplasm OR Powder Slush + Ectoplasm
• Small Unhealthy Heart: Salt + Small
• Large Unhealthy Heart: Salt + Large heart
• 2 Salt**: 1 Gunpowder

** Salt is registered as the Ore Dictionary as "foodSalt" to be compatible with Pam's Mods.
