Reporting a Vulnerability

We take the security of our software seriously and value any input from the user community that helps us to improve. If you've discovered a security vulnerability or have a concern about our software's security, please follow these steps to report it to us:

  1. Create a New Issue: Use our repository's issue tracker to create a new issue. If appropriate, you can also use the discussions section.
  2. Describe the Vulnerability: Provide a clear and detailed description of what you believe is a vulnerability. Include steps to reproduce the issue if possible.
  3. Attach Evidence: If you can, attach screenshots or code snippets that help illustrate the problem.
  4. Submission Acknowledgement: We will acknowledge your submission and begin investigating the issue.
  5. Further Communication: If we need more information, we'll reach out to you using the contact information provided in your report.
  6. Resolution and Update: Once we've addressed the issue, we will release a security patch or update and inform you of the resolution.

Please refrain from publicly disclosing the details of any suspected vulnerabilities until we've had a chance to address them. Premature disclosure can put the entire community at risk.

If you need immediate help, contact me via Discord or via email.

Your Safety is Our Priority

For SpotOn, we prioritize the security and safety of our users above everything else. While it's an ongoing challenge to stay ahead of potential vulnerabilities, we are committed to providing a secure and robust platform.

Important: Version 0.1 has been found to contain a critical error that could potentially cause the software to malfunction. We strongly advise all users to upgrade to a supported version (v0.2 or higher) to avoid any security risks.
