Introduction to Node.js

Date: 17/10/2019 In this talk I focused on introducting Node.js. I cover things such as:

• What is Node.js?
• What projects you should use Node.js?
• What projects you should not use Node.js?
• How do you manage packages in Node.js?

... There are also some useful code examples to back up the fundamentals I cover on Node.js :).

Introduction to Frontend Frameworks

Date: 21/02/2020 In this talk I introduced frontend JS frameworks. I cover things such as:

• What is a Frontend Framework?
• A breif history (Gives a bit of context into why they were invented)
• Example website architecture of a tradtional web app and one with a framework.
• Demo code to show how easy it can be to work with a framework.
