The Scaife Viewer is a open-source reading environment launched last year for the Perseus Digital Library as part of the Open Greek and Latin Project. Work has recently begun on applying it to a range of projects and so it is evolving from a single web application to an ecosystem. This seminar will begin with a tour of the initial version of the Scaife Viewer and an explanation of the underlying architecture and technologies used. It will then provide an overview of the new work being done and the concepts behind that work.
