This fork aims to modernize and make it accessible to newer Windows and Visual Studio platforms

TODO:

  • standardize readme files from .txt to .md ok
  • upgrade projects to latest visual studio ok
  • unify all projects to a single VS solution file

Long term goals

  • convert to Windows 10 store app
  • refactor code?

This is XScreenSaver for Windows (XScreenSaverWin).

This software was based on XScreenSaver 5.22 (for non-Windows OS) by Jamie Zawinski.

Porting to Windows was mostly done by Katayama Hirofumi MZ.

You can download binary at the XScreenSaverWin homepage.

Check STATUS.txt for porting status. Check LICENSE.txt for licensing information.

NOTE: If you want to build the Extrusion screen saver, then check the gle-3.1.0 folder.

Supported Platforms: Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Server 2003/7/10

You can install a screensaver from the main program "xscreensaver.exe".

[!!! WARNING !!!] You cannot install all the screensavers at once. There is limitation of the number of installable savers at once (limitation of Windows).
