Note:

• PHP 8.0+ compatibility was added in CakePHP 4.2+.
• PHP 8.2+ compatibility was added in CakePHP 4.4+.

Important Future Release Dates

As previously communicated, 4.x will:

• Receive bug fixes until September 2025.
• Receive security fixes until September 2026.

These dates are subject to extension based on community feedback and usage.

3.x has reached end of life and it will have no new releases.

• Release bug fixes until December 15 2021 (24 months after 4.0.0).
• Release security fixes until December 15 2022 (36 months after 4.0.0).

2.x End of Life

2.x has reached end of life and it will have no new releases.

• Release bugfixes until December 15 2020 (12 months after 4.0.0).
• Release security fixes until June 15 2021 (18 months after 4.0.0).
