I will follow up with the draft release notes

According to the "Understanding the release cycle" section, firefly was
actually retired when jewel was released (April 2016), and hammer will be
retired when luminous is released (estimated in May 2017).

@dillaman I read and re-read "Understanding the release cycle" and now I think I finally understand it ;-)

Could you kindly review the patchset?

To clarify what it means for hammer:

When jewel was released, hammer went into "focus on bugs that prevent users from upgrading to jewel" mode. We will continue fixing such bugs in hammer until luminous is released, at which point hammer will be retired.
