Frequently Asked Questions

I have activated the plugin, but it seems the plugin is not working.

After activatin the plugin, make sure that the coming soon / maintenance mode is Active by going to the settings page. If it's not active, you can activate it by clicking on the button. If you are logged in, you won't see the coming soon page. You can preview it by clicking on the "Preview" button found on the settings page.

Will search engines still be able to index my site while maintenance mode is on?

No your site will not be temporarily not visible to search engines. Once you disable the maintenance mode, search engines will be able to index your site again.

Is this plugin free?

Yes absolutely. This plugin is free and will remain free forever

Can I change the plugin code to suit my needs?

Yes, you are welcome to modify it as you see fit.

Where can I suggest a new feature or report a bug?

Please use the issue tracker on the GitHub repo as it's easier to keep track of issues there, rather than on the wordpress.org support forums.

How do I install the plugin?

  1. Install AV Coming Soon plugin by uploading the av-coming-soon directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  2. Activate the plugin.
  3. Configure the plugin and add your YouTube channel details by clicking on the "Coming Soon" admin menu item.
