@worldjoe I wonder what you were trying to index into the text_field that it was rejected? Text field should except almost any value, that is why ignore_malformed parameter doesn't make sense for it. Text field will not accept json objects, but we already have a note in the documentation about this: "You also can’t use ignore_malformed to ignore JSON objects submitted to fields of the wrong datatype"
