Project Background

XYZ Company, a leading enterprise in the Food and Beverage industry, is focusing on expanding its Coffee Shop business. The company has recently introduced new products across various categories. To ensure the success of these new offerings and understand their impact on overall business health, the company aims to conduct a comprehensive performance evaluation.

Objectives

This project aims to drive sales growth by:

  • Assessing key performance metrics such as total sales and orders, average order value, and average purchase value to understand overall business health.
  • Evaluating the performance of all product categories, especially on newly introduced items, to determine their acceptance and success in the market.
  • Analyzing customer behavior and preferences related to new products.
  • Evaluating outlet performance to understand how different locations contribute to new product sales.
  • Examining staff performance in promoting and selling new products.

Methodology

Data Preparation

  • Source: Data obtained from the Business Intelligence Courses at Rakamin Academy, which includes transactional, customer, staff, product, and outlet data.
  • Actions: Ensuring high-quality data for accurate analysis.

Data Visualization

  • Purpose: Discover patterns, spot anomalies, and gain a deeper understanding of the data's characteristics.
  • Techniques: summary statistics, descriptive statistics, and correlation analysis.

Dashboard Creation

  • Purpose: Present data in a clear and approachable way to facilitate decision-making.

Tools

  • Database Management: PostgreSQL for storing and querying data.
  • Data Visualization: Tableau for creating dashboards and visual representations of the data.

Results

This analysis will provide actionable insights to:

  • Enhance Sales Strategies: Refine marketing and sales approaches to increase revenue.
  • Improve Product Offerings: Make data-driven decisions on product development and inventory management.
  • Optimize Outlet Operations: Identify high-performing locations and areas needing improvement for better resource allocation.
  • Boost Staff Productivity: Implement targeted training and incentive programs to enhance staff effectiveness in promoting and selling products.
