Kibitz

Mac Chess Client for FICS.

Status & Goals

This software works great on Mac OS X 10.10+ and connects to the FICS chess server and compatible clones. Some features are missing and help is needed on this project.

The main project goal is to release a production-capable native Mac FICS chess client. The code will be reusable and support iOS/TV targets as well.

Author & License

Kibitz was originally written by Klaus Thul (klaus.thul@mac.com) and copyright 2006 licensed GPL v2. The orginal project page was http://developer.berlios.de/projects/kibitz/ and is currently mirrored at http://sourceforge.net/projects/kibitz.berlios/ and a full copy of the Berlios project is archived by the Archive Team at http://archiveteam.org/index.php?title=BerliOS Most of this code has also been brought online at https://github.com/klausthul/kibitz with development history. This code was last updated 2007 and is alpha/beta quality, it is not actively maintained.

This repository (fulldecent/kibitz) is a newer fork with the goal of releasing a modern production-ready product. All code is being rewritten and will be relicensed MIT.
