Welcome to the gevolution wiki pages

Announcement: the second gevolution users & developers meeting will be hosted by the Astronomy Unit of Queen Mary University of London (UK) on May 7th and 8th, 2019. This event aims to bring together users and developers of the code to discuss their experiences and projects, and to provide feedback on code development.

To this end participants are encouraged to give short informal presentations (20min) that should convey:

  • their science goal and their rationale for using gevolution
  • the tasks that have to be accomplished to reach their goal
  • any obstacles or limitations that prevent them from making progress
  • any results they want to show

Each presentation could be followed by a short (10min) discussion.

Following the same structure as the previous meeting, the tentative programme has the presentations and discussions on Tuesday 7th, and Wednesday 8th to be a "coding day" where participants can discuss their actual implementation with the present developers or other participants. As additional highlight, we anticipate the release of v1.2 of gevolution to coincide with the meeting. The programme will be finalised once we know the list of participants.

This being an informal meeting there are no registration fees but every participant is responsible for their own travel arrangements. To register, please send an email with your name and the title of your presentation to gevolution@unige.ch by March 31st, 2019. We will be in touch with further details shortly thereafter.
