Welcome to the cc-repo wiki!

Node in Africa and NodeJS Africa Community/Organization

We are extremely glad that after much issues have been opened in the last months on NodeJS/community-committee repo towards having a Node in Africa (NodeJS Africa), it was finally approved and supports and thumbs was given for the effort put in to make this a success.

NodeJS Africa is an organization that will turn the face of Africa in software development with NodeJS. Advocating for Node/JS and being ambassadors, teaching and developing in Africa at large.

We believe that Africa has what it takes to be the largest contributors to the Next generation technology and the Next Billion users. Exploring, and mining intelligence and brain power other than natural resources. We are richly blessed with determination, to cause change around the world, we believe with this opportunity given to us to make a difference in Africa and the world, should fully cease and make it happen.

That’s why we’ll blow the mind of the world by organizing the inter-national hackathon across Africa as a medium to host NodeJS Conf and formally inaugurate Node in Africa even as we look forward to organizing the inter-continental hackathon too. We believe all the members of the committee and this community will put in individual and collective efforts to see this a success.

Any member of this committee that believes that there is someone we could bring on board before the first comm-comm meeting, should please open an issue to get that excellent mind on board. To that effect after the meeting has been concluded, adding a member to the committee won’t be allowed if the excellent mind does not open an issue to get added and make a strategic contribution to the NodeJS Africa Core after the comm meeting.

Agenda of the NodeJS Africa existing board members meeting will be dropped as an issue 3 days before the meeting. Discussions and plans or changes that might be made will also be dropped for the members of the NodeJS Africa Community. Please, do well to open issues of Strategic Initiatives, something you’d love the committee to take into consideration and make part of the agenda while having the meeting. Due to that, issues with more discussions will be taken note of first and discussed first during the meeting, we encourage everyone to make loud noises about the arrival of this community.

Please, understand that times will come to make sacrificial contributions to the community especially by services and time.

Chair Abraham Agiri and Co-Chair Hassan Sani will be fully ready to answer any question regarding Node in Africa (NodeJS Africa).

We really hope that the team grows bigger with the help of the existing members. Cheers, Chair and Co-Chair Node in Africa (NodeJS Africa).
