I am using Numix Circle via AUR installation. Recently the xfce-power-manager tray icon changed its color from white to black. All other icons in the tray are white, my background is pretty dark so it makes the icon pretty hard to see. I looked it up and it seems to be related to this forum article which links to this commit. AFAIK the problem could be resolved with a few symlinks. This may also be related to PR numixproject/numix-core#5624.

Could you please share a screenshot showing how the original tray icon looks (or how it looks with other themes)?

Did the update to Xfce 4.16 cause the issue?

Here goes a screenshot of my tray iirc it looked pretty much the same but in white like the others. Although I am not 100% sure I do assume that the problem originated from the Xfce 4.16 update, since the forum article linked above also points to that.

Probably a case for the base theme https://github.com/numixproject/numix-icon-theme.
Do you happen to know the icon file name?

Ah, I see, so the xfce-power-manager icon is basically the battery state icon?

Yeah I think so - this way it can display the current battery status in the tray.

@jzbor Does this still persist? The battery icon looks like it was from Numix Light but then again the network icon doesn't.

Is it only black for 100% and charging or for any battery state?

Ah, this might be because our icon is red, maybe only dark/bright are supported for symbolic xfce panel icons.

It is black for any state. Hm I am not 100% sure, but I think other icon themes and applications seem to be able to use colored icons just fine.
