#Making it real

A guide to prototyping tools that can transform (almost) any object into an interface to the digital world.

Material for the prototyping workshop at Berghs School of Communication, Stockholm, September 2014.

#Program Material ##Day 1 Introduction to Processing, MakeyMakey and Arduino ###1 - Sounds, Yeah! How to import an audio file and playback it back when a key is pressed on the keyboard. ###2 - Pouring Detect when someone pours liquid into a cup. ###3 - Jumping Create your own DIY jump sensor using aluminum foil. ###4 - Band Create band by playing a sample everytime someone touches an object. Fruits, liquids, cutlery anything goes! ###5 - Alarm Use the sonar as trigger an alarm when someone has entered an area. ###6 - Punch Use a sonar to make a punch detector. Learn how to load a video file. ###7 - Arm Wrestling Make digital Arm Wrestling game that moves a servo motor!

##Day 2

Introduction to Spacebrew ###1 - Online Arm Wrestling Use spacebrew to transform the Arm Wrestling game into a online multiplayer experience! ###2 - Online Punch Use your phone as a punch interface. ###3 - Whip App Do you remember the Whip App? We show you how to make your own. ###4 - Follow the leader Use the sensors on your phone to figure out if a person is stading up or sitting down.
