An event management application for the Quad Cities Veteran's Outreach Center.
Written in .NET Core, React, and Java, and hosted on AWS with RDS (PostgreSQL), Lambda, API Gateway, and S3.
Veterans are onboarded and assigned a membership card with a barcode.
Center staff maintain contact information, and verify veteran status by reviewing applicable documents. A photo of each veteran is taken during onboarding to ensure cards and cardholders match.
When checking in and recieving services, staff scan veteran cards with a mobile application to record and verify the activity.
This project is developed and maintained by QC Coders, a group of software enthusiasts from the Quad Cities, a region on the border of Iowa and Illinois.
