@k9ert I don't think this actually solves the problem. volume_agent_efs_internal is called directly by volume_agent_efs, which already calls wait_for_metadata.

I'll reread through the forum issue to see if I can pick up any other clues from it.

@k9ert maybe the thing to do would be to change wait_for_metadata such that the URL it is hitting is http://rancher-metadata/2015-07-25/self/stack/uuid instead of just http://rancher-metadata.
