This is my vim config file. If you are using vim 8.0+ then just do the following command

git clone https://github.com/smferdous1/vimconfig.git ~/.vim
This config file is a mix of the following resources

1. https://missing.csail.mit.edu/2020/editors/
2. https://github.com/amix/vimrc/blob/master/vimrcs/basic.vim

Make sure that the ~/.vim directory is empty or non-existent

Plugins

1. vim-airline (https://github.com/vim-airline/vim-airline) Install command git clone https://github.com/vim-airline/vim-airline ~/.vim/pack/dist/start/vim-airline Remember to run :helptags ~/.vim/pack/dist/start/vim-airline/doc to generate help tags
