crowd_rails_test

Demo application and test for the crowd_rails gem.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • gem crowd_rails

  • gem crowd-stefanwille

  • gem bundler

  • soap4r v1.5.8

  • Atlassian Crowd server v2.0

  • Ruby v1.8.6 (or later)

  • Rails 2.3.8 (or later)

USE:

Configure your Crowd server in config/initializers/crowd_setup.rb. Then run

ruby script/server

and go to

http://localhost:3000

You will get a basic authentication box that is backed by your Crowd server.

Assumptions (used above):

  • Crowd Server is on localhost, port 8095

  • There is an application configured in Crowd with name and password ‘soaptest’

  • Application ‘soaptest’ directory set to ‘True’

Note on Patches/Pull Requests

  • Fork the project.

  • Make your feature addition or bug fix.

  • Add tests for it. This is important so I don’t break it in a future version unintentionally.

  • Commit, do not mess with rakefile, version, or history. (if you want to have your own version, that is fine but bump version in a commit by itself I can ignore when I pull)

  • Send me a pull request. Bonus points for topic branches.
