FSND Project 1: Movie Trailer Website

Description

This is a movie trailer website created as project 1 for Udacity Full Stack Web Developer Nanodegree. The website is generated using a python program to generate an HTML file with a selection of my favorite movies and displays a trailer when the movie poster is clicked.

Project contents

This project consists for the following files:

• entertainment_center.py - Main Script to run, this handles commands for generating the static webpage and populating the data store
• media.py - This is a module for handling different media types, it contains class Movie() which creates instances of my favorite movies
• fresh_tomatoes.py - Generates the HTML file for the movie trailer website (Template supplied by ud036 _StarterCode )

How to run

• Step 1:

Clone this repo to your desktop

git clone https://github.com/tayomadein/movie-trailer.git

or Download this repo as a zipped file from Github

• Step 2:

In terminal, navigate to project root directory /movie-trailer and type

python entertainment_center.py

Notes:

• The generated website will open in your default browser.
• Ensure you have installed python 2.7.x on your machine

Extra Credit

• Display movie storyline on the website
• Display movie tiles as cards
• Added Social Buttons to the navbar
