Toxygen v0.4.3 - 200 stars release!

It's been a long time since I contributed to Toxygen last time. This time I decided to make a release due to reaching 200 stars on github. Thank you all for your support!

Toxygen 0.5.0 (Prealpha) Experimental Build

Hello! This is prerelease not ready for daily usage (first and last) release of Toxygen with NGC support. As longer I'm not going to continue Toxygen development anymore I decided to make a release to allow users on different platforms to test NGC. This version uses different DHT than previous client versions, so don't hope it will allow to connect non-NGC clients (don't forget to disable auto nodes list update). Last Toxygen release - Toxygen 0.4.2!

Hello!

It's been a long time since I pushed previous release. I was busy working on new groupchats in toxcore and implementing it in client in experimental branch. I finished new groups and opened a PR but I'm disappointed with how toxcore development is going and I spent too much my own free time on Tox development and don't see real results of my effort so I decided to leave Tox development. This is the last Toxygen version. I almost rewrote client for ngc support but I won't keep updating it too. If anyone is willing to continue my work - feel free to do it!

Toxygen v0.4.1 is finally here!

Hello everyone! I know that last release of Toxygen was a lot of time ago, I was inactive for a while. Sorry for that. Now I'm busy with fighting new group chats again, so I decided to make new release and not to wait for ngc implementation in Toxygen. In next version (0.5.0) I gonna rewrite some parts of client and add a lot of new and important features. This process will take at least few months for me. Peace :)

Toxygen v0.4.0 - GC Support

Hello! 3rd release in 2 weeks is ready! In this release Toxygen got full old group chats support. 😃

Toxygen v0.3.1 - Desktop Sharing!

Just week after Toxygen 0.3.0 release new release is ready! In this release users got ability to select region of screen and share it with friend during videocall. Also I fixed few bugs and updated light theme a bit.

Toxygen v0.3.0 "Tozone" released!

After a long development process Toxygen v0.3.0 aka Tozone (T03) is finally released! This version contains a lot of major updates listed below. That's why it has its own code name "Tozone".

UPDATES:

• Video calls are now available! Select camera and resolution in settings and call your friends with video right now! Toxygen uses OpenCV for recording video and converting it to supported by toxav format.
• Toxygen successfully migrated to latest Python3 from Python34. Also support for 32-bit CPython on Windows was dropped because of bug with videocalls.
• PySide and PyQt4 support was dropped in prior to PyQt5. PyQt5 is modern and fast growing GUI framework for Python with qt-like syntax.
• Translations update: special thanks to @limalayla (updated french one) and @shooz (added ukrainian).
• @shooz added light app theme.
• Travis updates.

Toxygen 0.2.8 - last 0.2.x release

This version doesn't contain any major updates, just a lot of bug fixes, tests update and some improvements. I gonna release Toxygen with video calls support next, so this version is the last in 0.2.x branch. Also I'm migrating to latest Python3 and PyQt5, all these things will be done in 0.3.0. Unfortunately, I'm too busy to implement GC there too, and I still have to finish public GC fix to make it work. I still don't get help with all this stuff, so it doesn't move as fast as should be. Also I wanna give next version of Toxygen will have its own code name because it will be really important update. Stay tuned!

Toxygen v0.2.7 released!

Hello everyone! Finally I found time to release Toxygen v0.2.7. I'm busy with toxcore development but during last two weeks I committed to client a bit too. This version has support of chat history search (via CTRL + F) with regex suppport, that's what are you waiting for so long! Also I fixed a lot of bugs and refactored toxes code. Gonna back to active development in few weeks. Stay tuned, updates are coming soon!

Toxygen v0.2.6

Hello! I decided to make this release because last Toxygen release was long time ago and video calls and group chats development is blocked now. This release has a lot of improvements. Support for updater was added so now Toxygen can be updated automatically. Updater code can be found here. Also I refactored a lot of code and fixed many bugs. After fix plugins can work even better than before. BTW I implemented a lot of interesting new plugins like chess plugin (link). Tests were updated, contact sorting was improved.

I will be really busy soon so I recommend not to wait for active updates in next 1-2 m. But if you want to contribute - open PR, I will find time to review it 🙂
