Description

This plugin contains UCLA branded, accessible blocks for the Gutenberg editor. It is recommended this plugin be used with UCLA's Official WordPress Theme.

WordPress Block Editor Handbook Reference

If you are not familiar with the Gutenberg editor or working in react, these links will help you get started. This plugin follows the WordPress developers handbook as closely as possible.

Issues and Bug Reporting

To report an issue or bug please ad it to the repository issue board. Any community are welcome to contribute code solution or constructive comments to open issues on the board.

Branching

All campus member must branch from development and submit all pull requests back into the development branch.

Run Locally

Pull the repository into /wp-content/plugins/ on a local WordPress environment and run npm install.

Commands

npm run build - build assets

npm run start - start local development

Installation

  1. Place the repository at /wp-content/plugins/ucla-wp-plugin
  2. Activate the plugin by navigating to the plugins page in the admin and selective the activate link under "UCLA-WP Plugin".
