Simplify Quora Chrome Extension

Are you tired of annoying Sign In popups, Ads, Sponsored contents and bunch of (Not)Related answers on Quora? Here's a Chrome extension to fix all that.

Installation from Chrome Web Store

You can now easily install "Simplify Quora" from the Chrome Web Store:

  1. Visit the Simplify Quora Chrome Web Store page.
  2. Click on the "Add to Chrome" button.
  3. A confirmation dialog will appear, click "Add Extension" to proceed.
  4. Once installed, you should see the "Simplify Quora" extension icon in your Chrome toolbar.

Manual Installation (For Developers)

Step 1: Download the Extension Code

  1. Visit the GitHub repository of the "Simplify Quora" Chrome extension.
  2. Click on the green "Code" button located towards the top right of the repository.
  3. In the dropdown, select "Download ZIP". This will download the entire repository as a ZIP file to your computer.

Step 2: Extract the ZIP File

  1. Locate the downloaded ZIP file on your computer and extract its contents. You can do this by right-clicking on the ZIP file and selecting "Extract All" (Windows) or double-clicking on the ZIP file (Mac).
  2. Once extracted, you should see a folder named "Simplify-Quora-main".

Step 3: Open Chrome Extension Settings

  1. Open Google Chrome on your computer.
  2. In the address bar, type chrome://extensions and press Enter. This will open the Chrome Extensions page.

Step 4: Enable Developer Mode

  1. In the top right corner of the Extensions page, toggle the "Developer mode" switch to the ON position. This enables developer features.

Step 5: Load the Extension

  1. Click on the "Load unpacked" button that appears when Developer mode is enabled.
  2. A file dialog will open. Navigate to the folder where you extracted the extension code (e.g., "Simplify-Quora-main").
  3. Select the folder containing the extension code and click "Select Folder" (or equivalent). Chrome will now load the extension.

Step 6: Confirm the Extension is Loaded

  1. You should now see the "Simplify Quora" extension listed on the Extensions page in Chrome.
  2. Ensure the toggle switch next to "Simplify Quora" is in the ON position to activate the extension.
