I don't think agree that this is solved by the linked discussion. The repo mentioned there was already linked in the original post - however, it is a repo that only supplies binaries downloaded from elsewhere and not built by F-Droid. It also needs to be added to the F-Droid app manually, it won't be available in the store app by default. This issue, however, is asking to add Logseq to the official F-Droid repo. The official repo only allows apps that they can build themselves, which is an important security feature for many to ensure that the binary matches the provided source code. |

Many Thanks. I've converted the original issue to this discussion. Currently, the file-sync part is under active development and it is not open-sourced yet(contain binary deps for android). I will spare some time to further investigate the rules of F-Droid. |

Hi, are there any news about this? Releasing the app on official F-Droid Repository will for sure boost the number of users and the trust level of the app. Espacially if there are no Antifeatures (like BLOBs inside) labeled on F-Droid! I think your app has the potential, but most of the privacy- and security-aware users will hesitate to download apks from Websites. F-Droid is a good store that helps to see (without intensive analysis) that an app is trustworthy. |

It would certainly require some extra effort to get it on F-Droid. Would it be worth it to create a poll on the website to reach out to wider user base to gauge their preference on app installation source? I guess not many users would have GitHub accounts to vote here. |

Extra effort but it's worth for it. Users will get fully FLOSS flavour of it.
Instead a survey on cryptpad would be nice, like how people use the app, what feature they like, what they think needs to be improved etc. There is no point of creating poll > clear winner "Playstore"(PS), reason google services came preinstalled on almost all android devices & PS is the only official one mentioned in logseq website. |

Actually, both F-Droid and Play stores could help in adoption. Logseq is not available even in Play. When you search for 'logseq' in Play, the first app which appears is Obsidian. |

Please add the app to f-droid, the f-droid 'approval' would definitively boost privacy and local first users adoption. I love logseq and I would love to have that as my main note taking app in android, and F-Droid Seal of approval would be a huge help on sharing Logseq with other people i know. |

Count me in as someone else who was looking forward to using this software but am not going to because it's not on fdroid (or even playstore). I need a good foss note app like this, but I guess I'll just have to grit my teeth and settle for obsidian. |

Perhaps the logseq devs do not realize that F-DROID functions as a sort of gate for our mobile devices against not just proprietary content, but actively privacy-violating content. It is like a CI process for your app, so I think the reason why many use it should be taken under consideration. |
