Some context: WebSocket functionality was necessary for a project I wanted to build on Urbit. However, I am still considering whether I want to pursue that. Decided to share this UIP here in case there is any interest. Urbit will probably need WebSocket support at some point, but whether it should be integrated into the kernel right now, or if there are plans to move this kind of functionality elsewhere, I am unsure. I have a working implementation (vere/arvo) for this UIP.
