Solana Paper Wallet For NodeJS

This is a solana paper wallet written using NodeJS, designed to generate a new solana keypair

Usage

solwallet <options>

Options:

--generate or -g
(Generate a keypair with a QR code for the generated address)

--encrypt or -e
(Generate a password protected keypair to a file alongside a QR code for the generated address.
GnuPG must be installed for this option to work)

--version or -v
(Show the current version of the paper wallet)

--help or -h
(Shows the help page)

Examples

solwallet -e

Generates an encrypted Solana keypair to a file in the sol/ folder. Will create the sol/ folder if it does not exist.
This is the recommended option to save your keypair

solwallet -g > foo.txt

Generates a Solana keypair to a file called foo.txt with a QR code being saved in the current directory

Installation

Note: As of v0.2.0, solwallet is only available for Windows

If you are using solwallet on Windows, get the latest NodeJS here

If you are using solwallet on Linux or MacOS, follow the installation instructions here

To be able to encrypt the generated keypair before it is saved to a file, GnuPG must be installed

To install this script, run

npm install -g solwallet

To verify if the package has been installed correctly, run

solwallet -v

It should show the lastest version of the script installed
