This is a first iteration to add CTF support (kernel exploitation) where you're typically given some kind of kernel image and some kind of rootfs.
As the type of rootfs is not always a "full-fledged" file system this required some workarounds and more logic.
Along the way I also squashed some bugs like hard-coded path and typos.
