I suppose you use Oracles Java? Those come with weak-sausage cryptography thanks to some stupid US Laws. |
Java 6 also has weak cryptography. |

I just install Oracle latest JDK 9 restart eclipse (with new vm) check inside eclipse vm version see 9.0.1 |
After several trying with update url just revert it to initial state and it works... strange... |
I have an existing (cmake) CUDA C/C++ project that I'm trying to import into Nvidia's Nsight, which is based on Eclipse 4.4 (on Ubuntu 18.04). Nvidia provides a guide to do this here; the guide recommends installing this plugin. To that end, I'm trying to install this plugin, but not having much luck. Installation fails for me with this error: The log shows:
Taking the I get a similar error when I try to install the downloaded file through Help / Install new software... / Add... / Add repository dialog box. That one complains of a missing file, but the file does exist locally:
I'm running Nsight with OpenJDK 8:
I don't know much about Eclipse, and I've googled around a bit with no luck. Any ideas? |

@15knots Thanks for your response. To be clear, I am (apparently) also able to download it manually without issue - I can open it, unzip it, etc. Here are the size and md5sum I get:

As stated above I'm running Eclipse with the vm argument specifying OpenJDK 8, so I'm not sure if that makes a difference? Any other ideas welcome. |
The default java version(11) in PATH should not matter since the log provided by you indicates that eclipse is running on Java 8:

Could this be the problem? BTW: Will close this since your problem is not related to outdated Java's weak cryptography. Pls discuss this on the mailing list. |
Closing this as recent java installations do no longer suffer from weak cryptography modules. |
