The Web Components page is written in first person and with the tone of a casual blog post. The information should be rewritten into a more authoritative and impersonal tone for a guide. It can still have opinions, but they should be the opinions of 18F or the front end guild. I'm happy to help with this or to edit a draft of this revision.

Thanks, @awfrancisco. I originally wrote this up as my own notes on where web component technology was, and how we could use it. It wasn't intended to be a page on a public site about web components more generally.
That said, I'm happy to rewrite it when I have some time, probably next week.
In progress in #146. @awfrancisco, I'd be forever grateful if you could take a look at the preview and offer up any suggestions. I think it still needs a lot of work, primarily in answering the "why?" of web components.
