In order to increase our ability to allocate time and resources to various projects it may be useful to apply for grants for specific projects. However, most grants come with some expectation related to how funds are used, and some transparency/reporting requirements.
I'm creating this issue to start to brainstorm what an appropriate workflow would be to extend our current processes to be more grant friendly.
Current challenges:
We do not have a (formal) way to support project specific budgets. This means that a grant cannot be given to support a specific project we are working on. For example it might be reasonable for us to request funding from Aragon's CFDAO to support further development of the Redemptions App or some other specific project.

Why not first start to get grants for 1Hive itself as a project? Our goal is to show the world that open source development can be community driven and sustainable. This is only possible via Aragon and TPS as of a few weeks ago, and we're the first to try it out. We're solving a HARD problem that's been front of mind for many developers for decades. 1Hive is the first product/project. It serves as a model for community driven sustainable open source development that other projects can copy, and it produces real open source applications in the real world. This is not an easy problem to solve! If it was, everyone would be doing it. Let's get funding for 1Hive itself first, build the model, make sure it works... and then in the future we can support BEEs/projects getting funding for their specific projects.
Also, I think the Token Request App is going to be essential to making this possible for the MVP, and as such it should be the next priority on the chopping block.
