CS220AU Digital Portfolio (2022)

Overview

This GitHub repository is the template for the CS220AU assignment in 2022. It demonstrates minimalistic ideas for

  • project management
  • web hosting with GitHub Pages
  • web-design with Markdown language and
  • evaluation with the assessment.md and the dp-checklist.md files.

Portfolio items

The portfolio contains:

  1. Website: The tools and techniques used in the production of the video are listed below:
  • Iphone 13 "Cinematic" feature for filming the interviews
  • Adobe Premier Pro and iMovie for video editing
  • Online footage from Pexels and Pixabay
  • Voice recorded using BOYA lavalier microphone

The website showcases how media is marginalizing the effect of wars and bombs on climate change while presenting a case study of Palestine's war. It showcases statistics and analysis about climate change release while correlating it with media representation. Moreover, the website presents a survey conducted at University of Essex. The URL of the website can be found in the sidebar, under 'About'. The homepage uses the information in the index.md file.

  1. Self-and peer-assessment using the marking rubric in the assessment.md file.
  2. Portfolio overview providing a succinct overview of the portfolio and an outline of completed tasks (Log) and in this README.md file.
