Inspiration

recipe-franz-oreilly was inspired by the need to have O'Reilly Learning Platform as a service on my Ferdi setup.

What it does

recipe-franz-oreilly is a Franz Recipe that allows users to do add O'Reilly Learning Platform as a servie to Franz/Ferdi.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have met the following requirements:

• You have installed the latest version of Franz or Ferdi.

Getting recipe-franz-oreilly

To install recipe-franz-oreilly, follow these steps:

git clone https://github.com/2kabhishek/recipe-franz-oreilly
cd recipe-franz-oreilly
<install_command>

Using recipe-franz-oreilly

1. Open the Franz Recipe folder on your machine:

• Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Franz/recipes/dev/oreilly
• Windows: %appdata%/Franz/recipes/dev/oreilly
• Linux: ~/.config/Franz/recipes/dev/oreilly

2. Create a dev folder if you have not already done so

3. Unzip and copy the recipe-franz-oreilly folder into the recipes dev directory

4. Restart Franz

recipe-franz-oreilly was built using web technologies

Challenges faced

While building recipe-franz-oreilly the main challenge was adding dark mode to the O'Reilly service.

What I learned

While building recipe-franz-oreilly I learned about some internals of Franz and Ferdi.
