On the "ALL CHANNELS" tab, text left in the "Search channel" field limits the results as it should. However, it has an unwanted side effect in that it also limits the results on the "FAVORITES" tab. I'm guessing that you didn't intend for it to have any impact on the "FAVORITES" tab. Hopefully this is an easy bug to fix.
