386DX is much slower than anticipated

I just don't get it, 386DX is ridiculously slow.

Lower clocks are also slower than they should be, i.e. 25 MHz results are very similar to 286-25
Emulation speed is 100% all the time, the host cpu load doesn't reach 100%, not a single thread isn't even 50%.

Well, accuracy matters here, might be why it's slower, try changing the PIT mode.

Already tried, changes nothing. Same with Softfloat FPU and switching to old dynarec. Feels like it doesn't even try to run faster.

Try setting the wait states to 0.

That's really weird. BIOS reported w/s as 0 before.
