AndroidAPS wiki for Eros pods

This project targets Eros generation pods (not Dash). Use of the AndroidAPS for Omnipod (referred throughout these pages as AAPS, AAPS-Eros, AAPS-Omnipod) requires a 433MHz RileLink which is the bridge to communicate with Eros generation pods.

With the release of AndroidAPS 2.8 Omnipod is part of the main release.

Please go to https://github.com/nightscout/AndroidAPS for more details on building.

Current test release

The latest released version 0.4 (based on AAPS 2.7), which can be found at https://github.com/AAPS-Omnipod/AndroidAPS/releases/tag/EROS_0.4. Please review the notes on updating from 0.3 to 0.4 if you're installing or upgrading from 0.3 or an earlier 0.4 development versions.

We recommend building the most recent test version for 0.4 (based on AAPS 2.8)** from the omnipod_eros_dev branch.

Please review 5-Notes-on-updating-to-current-test-version-0.4.

Important note

1. We advise not to use it on human beings: https://github.com/AAPS-Omnipod/AndroidAPS/wiki.

2. Also, please keep in mind that AndroidAPS is open source software.

3. Always keep in mind the (AAPS safety instructions) https://androidaps.readthedocs.io/en/latest/EN/Getting-Started/Safety-first.html.

How can I communicate with the developers?

Most of the communication happens on our omnipod-eros-testers channel on the WeAreNotWaiting Discord server. It is accessible to both users and developers to answer question or discuss usage of AndroidAPS-Omnipod. Use the invite link below to join this channel:

Known 'major' issues and workarounds

  • Sometimes AAPS will loose connection to the RileyLink, although the connection indication light on your RileyLink could still be green. To reconnect, please exit the application through the "..." menu and reopen AAPS.
  • We recommend users to switch the Nightscout client to "upload only (Disable sync)" (NS->Advanced Settings).
