Eclair wallet requests the following permissions:

Camera access

This allows scanning a Lightning node URI, or a Bitcoin adress, or a Lightning payment request.

Network access

Eclair Wallet requires full network access in order to:

  • connect to the Bitcoin network (through Electrum servers);
  • fetch data such as fee estimations or current bitcoin price from various public APIs (Coindesk, Bitgo...) which are not operated by us;
  • access to the Lightning network.

Bitcoin and the Lightning Network are decentralized and no server will hold data that could directly identify you.
